Going for the Gold at GreenFields

GreenFields of Geneva is wrapping up its 7th annual Classic (formerly known as Silver Games). The week-long event features a series of friendly competitions, encouraging physical and mental exercise.

Activities included dodge ball, frisbee toss, bags, and more. Almost 100 residents participated, with additional individuals cheering them on.

In the past, medals have been awarded to the winners of each event. The residents politely declined this year, explaining that they have accumulated so many over the past years. The senior living community donated medals from former years to Marklund, a non-profit organization for individuals with disabilities.

Photos of the champions of the GreenFields Classic in each category holding a sign with their 1 st , 2nd, or 3rd place finish, will be shared with the residents. “The residents were really just interested in having fun with their friends and neighbors,” said Karen Tomko, community engagement manager for GreenFields.
